Justin Boddey

Associate Professor Justin Boddey is a Laboratory Head at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research and Principle Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, Australia. His laboratory studies functional genomics of the human malaria parasite across the lifecycle, including the liver, blood and mosquito stages of infection. The laboratory has particular interest in protein trafficking, glycosylation,and parasite-host interactions during liver infection. The laboratory is translating discoveries in basic biology into antimalarial drug development projects in collaboration with Merck and the Wellcome Trust and pursuing attenuated pre-erythrocytic vaccines.
