Kate Lawlor

Kate Lawlor completed her PhD at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI) in 2004. After being awarded an NHMRC CJ Martin Biomedical Fellowship she completed postdoctoral positions at the Cambridge Institute for Medical Research (UK) and WEHI. In 2017, she was recruited to head the Cell Death and Inflammatory Signalling Group within the Centre for Innate Immunity and Infectious Diseases at the Hudson Institute of Medical Research. Kate and her team investigate the cross-talk between programmed cell death and inflammatory signalling pathways, particularly activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome.
